Ordering Prescriptions

Prescription ordering should be done via online services (i.e. NHS app or SystmOnline app.) If you do not have online access, please contact the surgery and we will get this set up for you. We will continue to accept telephone orders from those where online services are not accessible. The prescription line is open between the hours of 11:00-12:00 and 15:00-16:00.


Flu Vaccination Clinic 

Please see below dates for our 2023 Flu Campaign. We will be contacting patients via text which will include a link which will allow you to book into the clinic online. If you are unable to do this, you can contact us by phone and we will arrange your appointment. If you are Housebound, please let us know so we can arrange a Home Visit for you. 

Please Note: We will NOT be doing Covid Vaccinations at the surgery. 

Over 65 Clinic Thursday 5th October AM & PM 

  • Criteria for Over 65 Clinic: All patients aged 65+ 

Under 65 Clinic Thursday 19th October AM & PM 

  • Criteria for Under 65 Clinic: Clinically vulnerable patients who are considered to be in the "high risk" category and for people who care for the clinically vulnerable. 

Children Nasal Flu Clinic Wednesday 25th October AM ONLY 

  • Criteria for Children Nasal Flu: All children aged 2 and 3 years of age and any child considered "high risk" due to underlying health conditions. All other children are expected to get the vaccinations through their school.

Health Visitor Clinics 

There are a number of Well Baby Clinics being run in the area. Please see below link to find a clinic near you. Parents just need to call the single point of access line on 0191 282 3319 (Monday-Friday 8:30-4:30) to book. The Self-Weigh baby stations do not require an appointment.

Can we please remind patients that the practice email address should only be used if you have been advised by a member of staff or if you are sending in documents for registration. We cannot deal with clinical queries from patients via email. If you have a medical concern, please either contact the surgery by calling us or complete an E-Consult which you will find at the bottom of the homepage.

Great North Care Record

Your Great North Care Record is the development of access for health professionals to view your electronic medical records. that will over time include a range of healthcare information to help improve the care you receive in the North East. You are automatically opted into sharing the record. If you would like to opt out you will need to contact the practice.

What will happen if i opt in?
If you fall ill and need emergeny treatment the doctor or nurse may need to know if you have any allergies or what medication you are taking. They will ask your premission to view your Greath North Care Record.

Who will see my record?
GP practices, NHS 111, NHS Hospitals, Mental Health Services, Out-Of-Hours Doctors and Ambulance Services. Your records will only be looked at by people involved in your care. Your information wont be shared with anyone who doesnt need it to provide treatment, care and support with you. Your details will be kept safe and wont be made public, passed on to third party who is not directly involved in your care.
