Welcome to Betts Avenue Medical Centre

E-CONSULT

PLEASE NOTE: If you are requesting a sicknote, we are currently working beyond the automated expected response time given by E-Consult. Please allow up to 7 WORKING DAYS for your sicknote to be actioned. For Medical Queries, we are also operating beyond the automated response time due to extreme pressures. For anything that you feel cannot wait, please contact us by phone or contact 111.

Please do not use the E-Consultation service inappropriately, multiple e-consultations should not be submitted each day as this can delay care for other patients.

The practice is live with e-consultations.

E-consult provides an online portal where patients can self check their symptoms and receive medical advice.

Patients electing to E-consult with their GP simply fill out an online form.

You can ask for help with a specific problem or condition, ask for general advice if you are not sure what your symptoms mean or request for administrative help for things like sick notes etc.

This May Help has been created to support parents and carers with concerns about their child’s mental health. The subjects covered on this website have been chosen by families and young people who have gone through their own mental health challenges. What helped them may also help you. Visit the page

ZERO TOLERANCE: A Message from the Partners

We have worked tirelessly as ever throughout the pandemic to ensure we are providing the best possible care to our patients, despite the ever-changing rules and restrictions. We understand the frustrations that people have and are doing all that we can to ensure we can help, however, it has been noted that our staff are facing an increasing amount of abuse from patients. The GP Partners and Management at Betts Avenue would like to remind patients that we have a zero-tolerance policy on both physical and verbal abuse. If you are found to be in breach of this policy, then this may result in you being asked to find a new GP surgery.

Serving You

Our dedicated team are here to treat those minor ailments that occur as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues. The technology also means you can now do a lot of things from the comfort of your home such as order a repeat prescription or cancel an appointment.

We aim to be a successful modern family practice, working as a team with well trained and motivated staff, to achieve a high standard of care for all our patients. We offer a personal and friendly service and encourage our patients to take an active interest in their own health care.

We are confident that our website will provide clear and concise help and give our patients the information they require in an easy and convenient format. It has been designed with the patient’s needs at the forefront of everything, from checking surgery times to letting us know what you think of us.

Partners in Care

Once registered, patients and healthcare professionals work together to ensure the most appropriate care is provided. This partnership philosophy extends even further and our active patient group exists to make sure that patient needs and the practice offering are always heading in the same direction.
