IMPORTANT NOTICE - Booster ⚠️

The NHS and its partners are working extremely hard to roll out the COVID-19 booster vaccination programme to our communities.

All adults are eligible from Monday 13 December, and you will be able to book via the National Booking System from Wednesday 15 December.

You can book your booster for 3 months from the date of second vaccine, and you can access the National Booking System to book the appointment from 2 months.

We are working at pace to increase the availability of appointments so that there are plenty of options for people on the National Booking System. Some local vaccination services will also contact patients directly.

New appointments are being added every day across our vaccination services. Further availability will come online from Wednesday 15 December.

We will be working with all of our sites to take further steps to increase what they can offer again, including opening later and on more days.

All of these appointments will be added to the National Booking System and so we encourage everyone who is aged 18 and over, is yet to have their booster and who is approaching 3 months from your second vaccine to use the National Booking System to arrange your appointment when you are able to do so.

In terms of any planned appointments no changes at the current time and everyone should attend your planned appointments as normal. If we need to make any changes, we will contact you directly.

GP led services will also contact people directly to arrange a vaccination when they become eligible - please do not call your practice

THIRD PRIMARY COVID VACCINATIONS

If you are considered severely immunosupressed, then you will be contacted by Public Health England to book for a Third Primary Covid Vaccination. Please note, this is NOT the Booster jab. If you receive such a letter, please contact the surgery so we can direct you to the correct place to book this.

COVID BOOSTER

Your Covid Booster must be given 182 days from your second vaccination. You should be contacted via letter, text or email when it's time for you to get yours, however you can book yours yourself via the below link. If you are unable to book via this link, it will be because it is too early.

NHS APP/ COVID VACCINATION STATUS/ VACCINE PASSPORT

Patients in England who have had a full course of the COVID-19 vaccine will be able to demonstrate their COVID-19 vaccination status for international travel.

There are two ways to request vaccine status. The easiest and most convenient way is to download the NHS APP however if you do not have a smartphone or are unable to connect to the internet you can receive a paper copy by ringing 119 (as long as you have two doses of the vaccine). This can be posted to you within 5 working days.

Just like a normal passport, make sure to leave plenty of time before you set off on holiday to apply for your vaccine passport.

DO NOT CONTACT YOUR GP SURGERY AS THEY CANNOT PROVIDE YOU WITH PROOF OF VACCINATION.

For more information please visit

 nhs.uk/nhsapp and www.gov.uk/guidance/demonstrating-your-covid-19-vaccination-status-when-travelling-abroad

We have had several enquiries regarding patients not being able to access their covid vaccination status on the NHS APP.

Please ensure you have access to our online services and have selected the option to view your full clinical record. If you do not have access to this you can submit a request online.

If you are experiencing further issues with the NHS APP please submit an enquiry on the NHS APP website and they will contact you directly to assist.
