To reduce footfall in the surgery, prescriptions are sent electronically to a pharmacy where possible. Please clearly state your chosen Nominated Pharmacy for all requests.

Repeat Prescriptions

bluepillsIf you are on long-term medication, you can obtain a repeat prescription without seeing a doctor or nurse by:

  • Posting your repeat prescription slip in the black postbox outside the front doors or in the white postbox inside the foyer
  • Logging into Online Services and submitting an electronic request. To register for Online Services, please see here for instructions
  • Sending an email to warleymedicalcentre@nhs.net

Please note we are unable to take orders over the telephone.

Please allow up to 72 hours for your request to be processed, prepared and signed.

Some patients use local pharmacies to collect and/or deliver their medication, however depending on your agreement with the pharmacy, it may still be your responsibility to order your items in advance.

Re-authorisation

When your medication is due for re-authorisation, this means the doctor or nurse wishes to re-assess your condition before issuing more medication. You will be notified in advance if a review is required and this must be completed before your next prescription is due. It is very important for you to comply with this instruction otherwise the prescription clerks cannot issue your medication.
