Open surgery
Open surgery runs every week day from 9am. Patients can check in from 8am. Patients MUST be checked in by 10am otherwise they will be asked to return the following day.
Pre bookable clinics
The practice has a selection of pre bookable face to face or telephone appointments available every afternoon.

Women’s Health
The practice provides maternity services and full family planning services including fitting of coils (IUD’s/IUS) and implants.
Women aged 25-49 years should have a cervical smear test every 3 years. Women aged 50-64 years should have a cervical smear test every 5 years. A reminder will be sent when the next smear is due.

The National Breast screening programme is run locally from Springwell House in Ardmillan Terrace for women aged 50 – 64yrs.
Child Vaccination
Children registered at Hermitage Medical Practice will be called to attend for their childs immunisation appointment at the immunisation clinic held at Morningside Medical Practice each Thursday. Invitation letters will be sent for all appointments. The Vaccination Appointment Line is 0131 312 1860
Minor Surgery
Certain procedures such as removal of skin lumps and joint injections can be performed by your doctor, often with the assistance of the practice nurse. Please ask your doctor for details.
