PPG (Patient Participation Group)

5th March 2024 - We would like to thank Lin Eastwood who has been our PPG chairperson for the last two years; she is now wishing to step down; so should anyone be interested in taking over this role, please contact Tracy Burchael, HR Manager at Almondbury Surgery.  The group meets four times a year here at the practice on a Thursday either an afternoon or on a teatime.

UPDATE ON FACE MASKS IN THE SURGERY:
If you, or any family members are currently experiencing any respiratory symptoms; such as a cough, running nose, temperatures or sore throats, please kindly wear a face mask when attending the surgery. If you do not have any of these symptoms, you no longer need to wear a face mask when you attend the surgery.  Thank you.

Important Notice Regarding Strike Action

Across the country strikes will be taking place, please note that GP services are not impacted by this strike action. Please continue to attend your GP appointments, unless you are contacted and told otherwise. On days where there is strike action, patients should only call 999 if it is a medical or mental health emergency [when someone is seriously ill or injured and their life is at risk].

Where the situation is not life-threatening, alternative support will be available through NHS 111 online or through NHS 111.

For more information on when to call 999 and when to go to A&E , you can visit the NHS UK website.
