Appointments

Please telephone our main Reception number on 020 8430 7710 to book an appointment for both Wood Street Health Centre site or Forest Road Medical Centre. Should you wish to attend the Forest Road branch of the Practice, you may also call their Reception direct on 020 8430 7730.

We generally offer 10 minute appointments. However where necessary, patients who may require longer can discuss with Receptionists in order to arrange for a double appointment when booking. All patients under 16 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or adult sibling.

All patients are registered with Dr G Ivbijaro. If you wish to see a particular doctor please inform the Receptionist. You may have to be prepared for an extended wait for the next available appointment with your nominated choice.

When booking an appointment, please state which one of the Practice locations you wish to attend. It is your responsibility to check your booking and to attend at the correct location.

The practice offers the following appointments:

Book on the day appointments: These appointments become available from 08:00hrs daily at both surgery locations. Patients may queue in person or telephone Reception. Available appointments are booked on a "first come" basis. Patients under the age of five years can be seen by a "First On Call" Doctor during two daily appointment clinics. Patients may book appointments for these daily clinics, as follows:

AM clinic between 08:00hrs - 11:00hrs daily.

PM clinic between 13:00hrs - 15:00hrs daily

and advance booking up to three weeks.

When booking an appointment with our Practice Nurse, please inform the Reception of the reason for the appointment. This information will ensure the correct allotted appointment time can be given.

Waiting Times

All effort will be made to see patients on time in surgery. However, GP/Nurses clinics can run late for a number of reasons. If clinics start to run 20 minutes late or more we will aim to let you know. Please bear with us and understand the possibly complexities of the patients ahead of you.

Chaperones

During a consultation the doctor may need to examine you and will ask if you consent to a chaperone being present. The chaperones at the Practice have all received training in the role of a chaperone. If you refuse, then the doctor may delay in examining you until another doctor is available.

Patients may bring chaperones with them but these will be for support purposes only and will not be allowed to be part of the examination.

Any examination will be explained to you. Patients will be advised of what to expect and why.

You may also request a chaperone to be present during a consultation. If you wish to do so, please inform the doctor/nurse in advance and this will normally be accommodated.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason, please inform us at least 24 hours in advance or as soon as possible. It is important not to waste appointment time slots. Patients are requested to consider others and assist Reception, in order for us to offer the slot to someone else.  If you do not let us know within a reasonable amount of time, we will have to mark you as DNA (Did not attend). Patients with 3 or more recorded DNA's will receive a letter reminding them of the possible deduction from our registered patients list. Notification of cancellations which are given too late, do not allow adequate time for us to fill the appointment.
