GP Registrars and Foundation doctors
As an accredited training practice we also have doctors who are in their final 18 months of specialist trainining to become independent GPs themselves working with us. These doctors are fully qualified but are supervised by an experienced GP in the practice at all times. Our Registrars sometimes video record consultations as part of their training. This is subject to a strict confidentiality policy and the consultation is viewed only by the trainee themselves and the doctor supervising them before being erased. You will always be asked to sign a consent form when this is taking place- if you don't wish to participate in this you are free to decline and this will not affect your care in any way. We appreciate your co-operation as videoing consultations helps us train the next generation of GPs and ensure they are equipped with the skills they need. We also host Foundation doctors in their second year after graduation who work under the supervision of an experienced GP in the practice.
