Availability of Doctors
Due to outside commitments such as the requirement to undertake continuous professional development, be involved in NHS project meetings and citations to attend court hearings, etc, doctors may be absent from the practice, often at short notice. Locums are sometimes employed in the practice to cover these periods.
Doctors In Training
We are recognised as a training practice to teach doctors the skills of General practice. These doctors are fully qualified and have usually worked in hospitals for at least three years. We are also a recognised teaching practice for Medical Students.
As part of the training we sometimes make video recordings of the consultation for discussion with small groups of doctors only. Your consent would always be asked for before any such recordings were made and you would be able to withdraw consent at the end of the consultation if you changed your mind. If you feel uncomfortable about video recordings please let us know before the consultation. It will not affect the consultation.
We are grateful for your co-operation in the important work of teaching future GPs. |
