Repeat Prescriptions
We regret that our reception team are not able to take requests for repeat medication over the phone. This is to minimise the risk of errors occurring.
Requests can be made in person, in writing, by email to Craneswater.prescriptions@nhs.net or online via the link above. We can post the prescription to you if a pre-paid envelope is supplied. Most pharmacies will also collect prescriptions from the surgery if you use them regularly and arrange this with them. Please allow 48 hours for requests to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
You can also now sign up for the electronic prescription service in which your prescription is electronically 'signed' by your doctor and sent directly to your pharmacy. Look for this sign to see if your pharmacy is now offering this service. | |
Please note prescriptions are not usually ready until after 3pm as they need to be reviewed and signed by a GP.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.
Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
