Repeat Prescriptions
We can only accept telephone medication requests in exceptional circumstances. Rescue packs of antibiotics are only given to patients who have previously been recognised as needing these.
Patients on long-term medication can order repeat prescriptions in a number of ways:
Local pharmacies also offer a collection service and will collect prescriptions from the surgery. However, you must sign a card, held by the pharmacist, to authorise the collection. 72 hours is required for this service.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse or pharmacist at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip. Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
Please allow two full working days for prescriptions to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
