Repeat prescriptions

Patients on regular long-term medication may be given repeat prescriptions for a speedier service. You can request repeat medication:

  • Online via the NHS App or PatientAccess.
  • In person using a repeat medication slip (Available at reception).
  • Email: prescriptionsdrnichols@nhs.net (Please make sure to include your full name, date of birth, telephone number and list of medication you are requesting).
  • Via your nominated pharmacy.

Requests for repeat prescriptions are not taken over the telephone for medico-legal reasons, as errors can occur during verbal communication.

Certain medication like antidepressants, contraceptives, hormone replacement therapy and migraine medication are not available on repeat as they require regular monitoring.

Please allow two full working days for your prescription request to be processed and remember to take weekends and bank holidays into account.
