Asda are allowing patients who call just to collect a prescription, to come to the front of the queue. The Security colleague on the food entrance door will telephone ahead of the patient, so that they know to expect them.
Repeat Prescriptions
We do not accept prescription requests over the telephone.
When your repeat prescription is due, please make your request in writing. Alternatively, you can order your repeat prescription via our email address: parkfields.medicalcentre@nhs.net or directly through this site. Click on the link above and complete the simple registration form.
Please allow us 72 hours for processing.
Please note prescriptions requested after surgery hours will be processed 72 hours from the next working day under the current pandemic situation.
We are now live for electronic prescribing. Please speak to reception for further details.
Please ensure that you visit your doctor or nurse regularly for your medication review.
Acute Prescriptions
Acute prescriptions are medicines that have been issued by the GP but not added to your repeat prescription records. This is usually new medication issued for a trial period and will normally require a review visit with your GP prior to being added onto your repeat prescription record.
Please note that receptionists are unable to automatically submit requests for acute prescriptions in the same manner as repeats and will forward all requests onto GP's. Requests for acute prescriptions, may be reused and you may be asked to make an appointment with your GP.
Please allow 3 working days to collect your prescription.
