What is a Patient Participation Group?
A Patient Participation Group (PPG) is a group of patients interested in health and healthcare issues, who want to get involved with and support the running of their GP Surgery.
The Group meet regularly and work closely with the practice staff to decide ways and means of making a positive contribution to the services and facilities offered by the practice to its patients.
The PPG is an important way for patients to relay any views on the provision and development of services at the surgery and for the Doctors and Practice Manager to respond and advise if there are changes within the Practice.
The Group is always keen to attract new members to ensure it is fully representative of all our patients.
How do I apply to join?
Ask a member of our reception team, or if you want more information ask to talk to our Assistant Practice Manager, Sue Ashford or our Patient Services Manager, Janice Coole
If you are unable to attend our meetings quarterly, we have "virtual" Patient Participation Group whereby your ideas and involvement are sought, by email.
We need young people, workers, retirees, people with long term conditions and people from non-British ethnic groups.
If you are happy for us to contact you occasionally by email please click the link below to open the sign-up form, completing all the fields.
