Doctors’ Appointments

  •        If you wish to see a Dr and it is not urgent for that day, please ask to book an appointment within the coming week.
  •        If you feel you need a Drs appointment that same day, please try to call before 9am and you will be offered an appointment that morning. If you call later, or cannot attend the morning appointment offered you may be asked to call back again at 2pm when more appointments are released.
  •        When booking an appointment, please consider whether you think it could be dealt with over the phone or whether you need to be seen face to face and reception can book accordingly.
  •        For telephone appointments – The doctor will try and call you within an hour of your appointment time. They will try at least twice, so if you miss the first call they will call again.  They may leave a voicemail.  If you miss multiple calls, it may be that you will need to rebook your appointment at another time.
  •        We now have some Dr appointments available to book online. These are a mixture of telephone and face to face appointments, so please ensure you select the type that is most suitable to your need.

Nurse, HCA & Phlebotomy Appointments

  •        We continue to offer face to face appointments for blood tests, smears, dressings, vaccinations, ECGs and various annual review appointments that require a patient to be seen in person.
  •        Some annual review work is likely to continue to be done by telephone, where appropriate but you will be informed of this when you call to make your appointment.
  •        Currently, nurses are not offering spirometry or ear syringing, as per guidance, however this will be reviewed and reintroduced as the guidance changes.

MSK (Musculoskeletal) Clinic Appointments

  •        We have MSK clinics on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays which are run by First Contact Physiotherapists.
  •        If you have a new joint or muscle pain, you can ask to be booked in to one of these clinics.

If you cannot keep your appointment please let us know as soon as possible. We can always offer the cancelled appointment to another patient.
