Dear Patients,

New Appointment System: Commencing 19th September 2019

Following on from patient feedback we will be changing the way we offer our appointments.

There will no longer be a walk in service or any appointments to book routinely on the day.

All appointments for routine issues will be available in advance and can be booked in a number of ways including; online, telephone and face to face. Please note: Our telephone lines are mostly busy during these times (8am – 11am & 3pm – 6pm) and you may experience long waiting times!

To ensure you are given an appointment with the most appropriate person. We ask you to co-operate with our Care Navigation trained reception staff who will ask you questions in order to allocate the most appropriate appointment to you.

Alternatively, please see our new ‘Self Help’ section in the further information section of our website for common ailments that can be self-managed without the need for an appointment.

If you have an urgent issue please speak to a member of staff and answer all questions asked so that we can help you. Staff will be following a protocol to ensure urgent issues are dealt with accordingly.

Kind Regards

Hope Newcombe

Prescription Requests

Please note that we need THREE full working days (72 hours) for any prescription request (up to 7 days if requests involve posting), this includes hospital outpatient prescriptions and private prescriptions. Please ensure you do not run out of your medications and take responsibility to request your medications well in advance. Our reception staff are following new written guidelines which they cannot bypass and are in place to ensure all requests are processed safely. Please help us to help you.

Dear Patients,

Extended hours of operation: Commencing 1st July 2019

Thank you to everyone who responded to our consultation.

To meet our patients’ requests we will continue to offer pre-bookable extended hours appointments on:

MONDAY and WEDNESDAY evenings after 6.30pm

&

TWO MORNINGS between 7am-8am per week

Regretfully we will now be closed on Saturdays. This is due to reductions in NHS funding which apply to all local GP practices.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

Kind Regards

Hope Newcombe
