Mounjaro/Ozempic:
- If you are diabetic and feel you meet the criteria for mounjaro/ozempic or similar drugs you need to discuss it with us and if we feel you may meet the criteria we then refer you to the diabetic team for agreement/initiation of this.
- For weight loss only and NOT diabetic:
GP's in Wales are NOT able to start patients on Mounjaro/Ozempic for weight loss on the NHS
see the links below if you feel you may qualify for this on the NHS and you can then self refer to the health board weight management service - but there a very strict criteria for this
