From April 2015 the NHS requires that every patient registered with a Practice must have a named GP responsible for overseeing their care. This is something that we, at The Meadows, have done for many years; it is now a requirement that we let you know that this is what we do.
We would like to reassure patients that this will not affect their choice of GP. All our GPs will continue to care for you in the same way as they always have done, having a named GP will not stop you from seeing the GP of your choice or stop them from caring for you to the best of their ability.
All our patients are free to choose which GP they see.
If you would like to know who your named GP is please ask us. If you have a preference for which GP is named on your medical record please tell us and we will accommodate it if we can.
