Practice Merger Patient Consultation

Marple Cottage Surgery and Guywood Practice in Romiley are looking to join together.

The current staffing and service provision at both practices will remain the same, and

patients will have the choice of which site to book their appointments.

We feel that this will provide improved resilience for patients, sharing clinical and administrative workload across both sites.

Of course, we are keen to seek our patient views, suggestions and address any concerns.

If you would like to comment please email stoccg,marplecottagesupport@nhs.net by 1st Dec 2021.

28.01.2021 -  Since 16 January 2021 we have been working hard, as part of our PCN (collaboration of GP practices), to vaccinate our patients aged 75 & over. In eleven days we have vaccinated over 4,600 patients.

We understand that some patients are worried that they have not received an invite yet but we are required by NHS England to invite patients in specific age groups. Later this week, we hope to be inviting patients aged 70 - 74, subject to receiving confirmation of our vaccine delivery date.

If you do receive a letter from NHS England offering you the option to book a COVID-19 vaccination at a regional vaccination centre, such as Manchester or Macclesfield, you may book your vaccination or wait until practice offers you an appointment. Whichever you choose we WILL invite all eligible patients who have not already had the vaccine.

Thank you for your ongoing support and patience during these difficult times.

COVID Vaccination Clinics Update 28.01.2021

11.01.2021 - We will receive our first supply of COVID-19 vaccines this week and will run a vaccination clinic this weekend.

As we receive a limited supply of vaccines we are required to invite patients over 80 years of age, and according eligibility instructions issued by NHS England.

We WILL invite all eligible patients as soon as we can. We WILL contact you.

Therefore if we have not contacted you yet we will do when we receive our next delivery, which we expect to be the following week.

COVID Vaccination Clinics Update 11.01.2021
