Telephone Scam


We have been informed of a new telephone scam from a company calling themselves 'My Healthcare'. As ever they are requesting bank details and sound quite feasible however this is NOT a real company and any healthcare professionals will NEVER ask for your financial information. Pease be alert to these calls and stay safe.


Covid-19 vaccinations



Please AVOID CALLING the surgery with any enquiries about the covid-19 vaccination as we are unable to give you any more information at this stage, and we need to try and keep phone lines open for people who are unwell and needing medical care.

Prescription requests



TheScottish Government and NHS Lothian have advised GP's and Practice Pharmacists not to pre-prescribe medication and advise patients not to stockpile medications which would place undue stress on the supply chain. The Scottish Government have given assurances that this is not necessary and that sufficient contingency stock exists within the supply chain.

Community Midwives

The Midwife provides ante-natal care in the surgery by appointment on Thursday afternoons.
She is part of East Lothian Community Team providing a home birth service. She also runs ante-natal classes and provides post-natal care at home. 

Midwives can be contacted at East Lothian Community Hospital on 0131 536 8304.

Community Nurses

The District Nurses carry out nursing care for patients at home. They will provide advice and assist with organising care for infirm or disabled people.

They can be contacted at their North Berwick base on 01620 897016.

Health Visitors

The Health Visitor offers health advice and support mainly to families with young children. This includes help with parenting and support to women with post-natal depression. They see children for developmental checks and performs routine childhood immunisations. They will carry out home visits where appropriate.
