National Screening tests

The NHS offers a number of screening tests aimed either at detecting precancerous conditions [cervical smear test] or very early cancers [breast screening and bowel screening]
We strongly advise our patients to take up these tests. They are all by invitation and a letter will be sent to those who are eligible.

If you have lost your invitation or think you have been missed out or have missed an appointment, you can still have your tests. Please speak to reception, the practice nurse or the doctor.  For replacement of bowel screening kits you can phone  0800 0121 833

CHANGES TO ORDERING REPEAT MEDICATION

Please note

we no longer take orders for repeat medication over the telephone!

You can still order your repeat via our other services;

If you are on regular medication you will receive a computerised repeat slip with each prescription. You can use this to re-order:

  • Online - You can order online via the link at the top  right hand side of this page. New users are required to complete a simple registration prior to using the service. The registration is simple and will make reordering your repeat prescription as easy as possible.
  • By post - send it to us with a stamped addressed envelope if you want us to post it back to you
  • Pharmacy -  Contact your regular pharmacy and ask if you can place the order with them over the phone (many of the pharmacies provide this service)

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor at least once a year to review these regular medications.  Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
