So as to ensure that all of our patients receive efficient and prompt attention, we ask for all repeat medication orders to be made by other formats. You will be able to order by the following methods:
The Electronic Prescription Service (EPS2):
The practice uses EPS2. The GP and nurse prescribers can generate, sign and transmit a prescription to the patient’s nominated pharmacy with no need to produce a paper prescription. This electronic management of prescriptions allows patients to collect their medications from a pharmacy at a location convenient to them- it could be near your place of work.
If you wish to join in this scheme please go to your preferred pharmacy and let them know you want them to be your nominated pharmacy, they will then register your details and inform us that you have joined the EPS scheme. (Please be aware you can swap to another pharmacy later if you are not happy with them) Or when you order your repeat prescription at the surgery write the name of your nominated pharmacy on the form or inform our receptionists.
Please ask at the reception desk for your unique log-in and password details for online services. You must have 2 forms of identification (including one form of photo ID).

Post in box at the surgery (or by letterbox if we are closed)
We have a red post box located just inside the entrance of Castle Mead Medical Centre on the corner wall especially for posting prescription requests.
This is emptied morning and evening.

You may give another person permission to access your prescription details so that they may place the orders for you. This would not give them access to your medical records.
