All prescription requests must be in writing. 

The practice will not accept prescription requests over the telephone. 

The practice staff and telephone system are under extreme pressure and priority must be given for urgent medical queries only. 

During the current Coronavirus (COVID-19) crisis the practice will accept requests:

Posted through the surgery letterbox

Online requests (only if previously set up, no applications currently possible)

Via email to: prescriptions.sidleysurgery@nhs.net

 We have received an unprecedented demand for early or extra prescriptions. 

Please do not telephone the practice for routine prescription enquiries.

Please allow the practice extra time to process the prescriptions. 

Training Practice

glasses_and_penThis Practice has been accredited to train doctors intending to become general practitioners.

The practice needs to be regularly inspected for this purpose, and this involves inspection of the medical records.  Only doctors approved for this purpose will do this, and they will respect completely the confidentiality of the information.

Patient records may only be disclosed with written permission.  Patients may therefore be asked to sign a letter of authorisation to permit this.  No patient records will be included in the inspection visit without such authorisation.

Sometimes the doctor may wish to video record their consultations, and in this case once again your written consent will always be requested beforehand, the video is used with their GP Trainer to highlight strengths and weaknesses in their skills.
