Heart Disease

Regular blood pressure management and screening.

Diabetes

Monitoring and reviewing all patients with diabetes.

Asthma/COPD

Monitoring for all asthmatic and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease patients including review of medication.

Family Planning

For pre-conceptual advice, contraception injections and well women screening.

All practice nurses provide well person screening and travel immunisations

Health Care Assistants

Our Health Care Assistants are available for blood tests and health screening. Monday – Friday various clinic times are available.

Blood Tests are BY APPOINTMENT: MON – FRI 08:30 – 12:00 and also some afternoons.

Cardiovascular Disease Screening

We now offer monitoring in conjunction with the Doctors Contract, clinics run by Practice Nurses that are for patients suffering from:-

Heart Disease, LVF, Stroke, Diabetes, Hypertension Asthma, COPD, Epilepsy , Mental Health or cancer care reviews.

Minor Operations

We provide minor surgery for removal of skin tags, warts, and excisions for example, toe nails and Incisions. The Doctors are on the approved medical list to provide this service.

Flu Vaccinations

Every year we offer flu vaccinations to those aged over 65 years or suffering from heart disease, diabetes, Asthma or COPD. We have set clinics that start in October, please contact the receptionist from September to book an appointment. If you are housebound we will arrange a visit.

Pneumonia Vaccine

Is available throughout the year to patients over 65 years and those suffering from spleen dysfunction or without a spleen, any chronic disease: respiratory, heart, renal, liver, diabetes, or immuno-suppression. (Please ask if unsure).

Medication Screening

We screen patients who are taking the following medication:- penicillamine, auranofin, sulphasalazine, methotrexate and sodium aurothiomalate. If you are taking any of these medications you need to have a blood test at least annually, please contact us to make an appointment to see the Health Care Assistant if you have not been seen.
