When We Are Closed

Night, Weekends & Bank Holidays

When the surgery is closed and you need a doctor, please phone 111 for all non-emergency medical needs. This number is free to call from landlines and mobiles, although you do need 1p credit on your mobile phone.

Pharmacies can often offer advice and guidance for minor ailments.

NHS111 - TEL: 111

NHS 111 offers advice on self-management of illness.
More information about NHS 111 can be accessed online at www.nhs.uk/111

Out-of-hours services are generally busy so please think carefully before asking to see a doctor and only do so if you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.

In a genuine emergency you should call 999. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.

A&E

Injured or unwell? Don't just go to A&E if it's not a serious emergency.

There are an increasing number of cases where patients are using A&E services rather than using either their GP, Pharmacy, or other more appropriate services. Click on the link below and following the prompts to guide you to appropriate services in your area depending on the condition you are presenting with:

www.notalwaysaande.co.uk

Please note that whilst the website will not provide a list of local services available – it will give guidance on whether you need to attend A&E or not, and which service may be suited to the condition you are presenting with.

Practice and staff training dates

We feel it important to evaluate our services regularly and engage in staff training across the board. In order to do this we will close the surgery for an afternoon every three months. At this time the practice will covered by the on call services for emergencies.

Your help and understanding would be appreciated
