Transport to Ramsbury SurgeryRamsbury Community Bus provides transport twice weekly (Tuesday & Thursday mornings) to and from Ramsbury Surgery to support patients attending appointments or collecting medication. The bus visits Ramsbury, Aldbourne, Baydon, Chilton Foliat, Froxfield, Axford & Mildenhall. If you would like to utilise this service please ask at Reception. From 1st July 2023, we will be changing from a Tuesday morning to an afternoon service, therefore offering a morning and afternoon service each week. We would like to emphasise that this service is open to all patients registered with Ramsbury & Wanborough Surgery who require transport to attend the Surgery - it is not only for specific age groups or cohorts. This service is operated by volunteer drivers and funded by the Surgery. Further information on trips and services offered by the Community Bus can be found at www.ramsburyflyer.org
Veteran Friendly Accreditation
We are very proud to announce that we are an Armed Forces Veteran Friendly Accredited GP Practice. Please do let us know if you are in the Armed Forces or are a Veteran of the Armed Forces.
What is a Veteran?
A Veteran is anyone who has served for at least one day in the Armed Forces, whether as a Regular or Reservist. It means the same as ‘ex service personnel’ or ‘ex-forces’, although not all Veterans know the term or choose to associate with the term ‘Veteran’. Younger Veterans might refer to themselves as ‘ex-forces’, in the belief that a Veteran is someone who fought in the First / Second World War.
Whilst many aspects of the health needs of Veterans are the same as for the general public, there are sometimes significant differences, particularly in relation to conditions attributable to service life and the associated impact for individuals and their families. These differences can be reflected in the way in which healthcare is delivered, the range and types of some specific services provided and the long-term impact upon patients and families.

Your Integrated Care Record
Your Integrated Care Record (ICR) is confidential and secure and helps doctors, nurses and other health and social care professionals involved in your care to make better, safer decisions.
What is it?
The BSW ICR is an electronic health record that combines information from the different organisations involved in your health and care, such as your GP practice, hospitals and social care services and displays it all in one place.
What information is included?
Your ICR contains important information about you, including your contact details, medical history, medications, allergies, test results, hospital admissions, hospital referrals, social care and mental health referrals.
Who can see it?
Only people directly involved in your care will be able to see your data. This may include health and social care staff from GP Practices, hospitals, community trusts, mental health trusts, social care and NHS 111 staff.
National Data Opt Out
Your health records contain a type of data called confidential patient information. This data can be used to help with research and planning. You can choose to stop your confidential patient information being used for research and planning. You can also make a choice for someone else like your children under the age of 13. NHS Digital will never sell your data. There are strict rules about how NHS can use your data. It's only shared securely and safely. Shared data helps the NHS. It has been used to find the first treatment for coronavirus and for vaccine research.
If you're happy with your confidential patient information being used for research and planning you do not need to do anything. Any choice you make will not impact your individual care.

Dementia Screening
As a Practice, we would encourage any patient who is concerned about their memory to consult their Doctor in the usual way for assessment.
The Doctors will automatically test patients who are at risk of memory decline as part of good medical care. As a Practice, we do not intend to call patients in specifically for a memory assessment alone.
If you have concerns about your (or a relative's) memory, please do not hesitate to discuss it with your Doctor at a routine appointment.
Transport to the Surgery - please remember we utilise the Ramsbury Community Bus for transporting our patients to and from the Surgery (from designated pickup points). This new minibus has a disabled access ramp and provides a service for any patient without transport. Please ask our Receptionists for further information if you feel this service would be beneficial to your or your family.
