Appointments

General Appointments

All appointments with a doctor or nurse can be booked up to 6 weeks in advance either in person at reception, via the my gp app or over the telephone. The surgery telephone lines are open Monday to Friday from 08:00 - 18:30.

Emergency Clinic

This is held every morning for those who have an urgent condition that requires treatment by a doctor. You may not be able to see the doctor of your choice and may experience a delay.

Please note that any patient attending A&E for conditions considered to be inappropriate will be redirected to the surgery. A doctor will then call and offer the most appropriate appointment.

Extended Hours

Pre-bookable appointments outside normal working hours with a doctor or nurse are available for full-time workers. These are usually held on Tuesday or Thursday evenings between 18:30 - 20:30 (subject to change).

Telephone Consultations

If you feel that your problem can be dealt with over the telephone rather than by attending the surgery you can request a telephone consultation with a doctor from 12:00 to 13:00 daily.

Practice Nurses

In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. Practice nurses are qualified to deal with many ailments and you may be seen more quickly.

Cancellations

If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else. Patients who continually fail to turn up may be removed from the practice list.
