Appointments
Consultations are by appointment only and can be made by calling in at the Surgery or telephoning 01463 710222. If you need to be seen urgently please make this clear to the receptionists. If there are no available appointment slots we will fit you in although you may have to sit and wait a little before being seen. This appointment may not be with the doctor you normally see.
Consultations are for 15 minutes. If you think your problem will take longer, please request a double appointment.
Please note that if you cannot attend your appointments for any reason, please let us know as soon as possible, preferably giving at least 24hours notice so we can then offer the appointment to someone else.
If you repeatedly fail to attend appointments, you may be removed from our Practice list and you will be required to find an alternative doctor to register with. Please see policy on our home page.
We appreciate that you may be kept waiting for an appointment - this may be because a surgery is running late due to patients arriving late, or due to the fact that your GP/nurse has had to deal with a medical emergency. We do all we can to try to avoid this, and would appreciate your co-coperation by making sure you arrive on time for your appointment.
We cannot accept responsibility for unattended babies or children on the premises, including children being left in the waiting room. If you prefer that your child does not come into the consultation room with you, particulary if you are having an examination or minor surgery, please ensure that you take a family member or friend with you to look after them in the waiting room, or arrange for childcare at home.
Telephone Advice
Telephone appointment slots are available daily to discuss test results or if you require advice from a doctor. Telephone appointment slots are also available with the practice nurses.
Mobile 'Phones in the Surgery
You don't need to switch off your mobile 'phone in the waiting room, but please be courteous to other patients and maybe keep it on silent. We do ask that you don't answer your 'phone or text etc during your consultation with the Nurse/GP/Midwife and that you refrain from doing this until you leave the consultation room.
