Our appointments are released Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday mornings at 8.30am.

When we triage your telephone calls, patient safety is our main priority.

These triage slots reach full capacity VERY quickly.

DO NOT ATTEND IF YOU HAVE COVID SYMPTOMS.

There are no pre bookable appointments available at this time. Patients are advised to provide brief details on what their appointment is for, this is to enable our medical receptionists to place your call appropriately on the GP triage call list.

The GP will call patients back accordingly and arrange face to face appointments where necessary.

Routine telephone calls can also be booked daily with both morning and afternoon slots available. These calls are for patients that do not require a face to face appointment and wish to discuss something by telephone. These are usually letter requests, blood results, referrals etc.

If you missed getting a call-back, please telephone the following weekday at 8:30am.

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:30 if you require a home visit.

You may only request a home visit if you are housebound or are too ill to visit the practice. The GP will only visit you at home if they think that your medical condition requires it and will also decide how urgently a visit is needed.

Test results are available in the afternoon between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. It is the patients responsibility to contact the surgery during this time to follow up on their own results.

Please note that we do have a strict policy regarding confidentiality and data protection. In this respect we will only give out results to the person they relate to unless that person has given prior permission for their release or if they are not capable of understanding them.

At Stream Street Surgery there is an ongoing demand for appointments. We have noticed that increasing numbers of patients do not attend their booked appointments.

This has a consequence for other patients who may have needed an appointment. In future if you are unable to attend your appointment, please contact the surgery in good time and cancel so that it is available for someone else.
