Routine appointment
All surgeries are booked by appointment and appointments can be made during opening hours by ringing or visiting the surgery. You can also book online if you are registered for internet access.
We encourage patients to book in advance as this means they are more likely to be able to book with the doctor of their choice. Some apointments are available to be booked up to 6 weeks in advance. We also have a number of appointments that are bookable on the same day for patients who need to see the GP urgently.

Appointments are available Monday – Friday 6.30pm to 9pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm.

Patients have a right to an appointment even if they have not been seen within the last 3 years, however if they are over 75 years old then the timescale is 12 months.
You have a right to express a preference in respect of who you wish to consult with and wherever possible we will adhere to this.
Your Responsibilities as a Patient
- To treat all staff with respect.
- To keep appointments or to let us know in good time if you are not able to attend, in order for the appointment to be offered to another patient.
- To tell us immediately if you change your address or telephone number.
Cancellations & Arriving Late
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
To cancel your appointment:
- use your NHS account (through the NHS website or NHS App)
- phone us on 0161 785 7910, Monday to Friday from 8am to 6.30pm
- reply CANCEL to your appointment reminder text message
If you arrive late for an appointment it may not always be possible for you to be seen an in that event an alternative appointment will be offered.

Emergency/On The Day Appointments
Emergency appointments are available every day. These are for patients with an urgent problem that cannot wait for a routine appointment. Patients who require an emergency appointment must see ANY available GP or ANP. We can only offer a limited amount of appointments each day.
Emergency/On The Day appointments are available to book from 8.00am Monday to Friday
Patients needing advice over the telephone from the doctors or nurses can contact the surgery and leave a contact number for us to get back to you. All messages will be passed to the clinicians and they will return your call the same day if necessary. If however, calls are received once the afternoon surgery has started then it may the following day when your call is returned. Please be aware that if you have anonymous call barring we will be unable to contact you.

Nurse Practitioner
In a number of cases it might be worth considering an appointment with a practice nurse rather than a doctor. The Nurse Practitioner is qualified to deal with many conditions, is able to prescribe and refer and you may be seen more quickly.
Interpreters
Interpreters are available but must be pre-booked so please let reception know when you book your appointment.
Chaperones
You are welcome to have a chaperone for all intimate examinations. Please ask at reception and one will be arranged for you.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Medical Students
As we are a training practice there may also be medical students on placements or trainee doctors working at this practice when you visit.
