Appointments
ALL patients should register for the NHS APP to enable you to request prescriptions, view test results and medical records. The identification process can be done completely online - no need to visit the surgery to do this. Download and sign into the NHS app, using the same email that you used to register at the surgery, or via the Patient Access app/website. For patients that are unable to use these online tools, and all self-care measures have been exhausted (including your local pharmacist's advice) or you have a significant health concern, please call the surgery.
From the age 12...
A young person aged 12 or above is generally considered mature enough to understand and make their own informed decisions. They have a legal right to access their own records, and can allow or prevent access by others, including their parents. However, each case will be individually considered.
Any parental access to a child’s records must be in the child’s best interests.

Urgent Care - NHS North East London
Appointments
Your GP surgery should usually be your first point of content if you have particular concern about your health. Appointments are available 7 days a week, including in the evenings, on weekends and bank holidays. These appointments can be booked on the phone.
Appointments can take place by phone, video, or face-to-face depending on your preference and clinical need.
A range of healthcare professionals work at your practice and in the wider community to help you get the right care when you need it. This means you might be seen by a GP, but you could also be seen by another trained professional such as a practice nurse, community pharmacist, physiotherapist, or social prescriber.
Appointments out of hours
If you need an urgent appointment contact the practice during opening hours between Monday to Friday 8am to 6.30pm on 0208-530-4108.
When the practice is closed, please ring NHS 111 or use NHS 111 online and they can help you with booking an urgent GP appointment.
Routine and urgent appointments are provided in the evening and weekends at the following locations;-
• The Shrubberies Medical Centre
• Glebelands Practice
You will be told which location you need to travel to when your appointment is booked.
You should only attend A&E if you need immediate care for something that is very serious or life-threatening. If your condition isn’t life-threatening, in many cases you could be seen faster by using other local services in your community.
If you feel unwell or have a minor injury, your local pharmacy can also offer advice and some medicines. Many pharmacies are open late and at the weekends, and you do not need an appointment to be seen.
If you are feeling overwhelmed and need urgent help because you are worried that you might harm yourself or someone else, contact your local mental health crisis line.
Trained professionals are there to help you 24 hours a day, 365 days a year by calling Mental Health Direct free on 0800-995-1000.

Appointments should always be available the day you want one, although the earlier you can request one, the easier it is for everyone.
There is an active policy of health checks and procedures to maintain good health. We try to treat the whole person in a way that is sometimes described as holistic - i.e. caring for the physical, psychological and spiritual needs of patients.
Acute illness and emergencies are obviously important and every possible attempt is always made to deal with such events immediately. Because such things are unpredictable they may occasionally delay routine appointments. This is rare and we are sure you will understand if it happens to you.
As well as appoinments running most hours of the day, to aid commuters, we have appointments from 7am on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday mornings and until 7.30pm Thursday evenings.
We are happy to see our patients or give advice over the telephone. All under 5 year olds will be seen on the day.
Please note:
• Appointments are for one person only
• All patients under 16 should be accompanied by an adult
• Emergency appointments should not be used for social convenience or non-urgent problems
• Please arrive on time for your appointment; late arrival may require a new appointment being booked at a later date
• Non-attendance for appointments is a persistent problem and increases the wait to see the doctor. If you no longer require your appointment please cancel in good time as this will allow someone else to see a doctor that day
Need to see a GP in the evening or at the weekend?
You can now book an appointment for urgent conditions usually managed by GP's during the evening and weekend by directly calling 020 3770 1888. Please ensure to select option 1 for Redbridge.
These clinics are NOT a walk -in system and are not for ongoing chronic problems such as heart disease, diabetes etc.
You will be seen by either a GP or Nurse Practitioner by appointment only.
The nearest surgery hosting this service is at the Loxford Walk in Centre, Ilford Lane, Ilford. They currently only offer remote consultations. Once patients have been triaged, only if needed will they offer a face to face appointment.
This surgery is a member of Healthbridge Federation who are providing this service for our patients.
Doctors in Training
As the Centre is a recognised teaching practice, students and doctors in training will occasionally be sitting in on consultations with the doctors. If, however, you wish to be seen alone, a quick word with the receptionist will ensure you can do so without embarrassment.
Cancellations
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
