How your hospital referral will be managed

If your GP decides that you need referring for treatment, a referral letter will be completed and sent electronically to the Care Gateway.

A GP may sometimes refer patients on a 2 Week Wait pathway, sometimes referred to as a 2WW referral. This type of referral is made when the patient needs to be seen urgently. For further information regarding this type of referral, follow the links  Care Gateway
