Online services - Patient Access

In order to use the online services you must be:

--  a fully registered patient with an NHS number

--  16 years or older

To sign up for our online services you need to come to the practice to sign a consent form and show some form of ID.

The receptionist will register you and give you a document containing your pin number and log-on details. Please keep this document safe as it contains your personal information.

With these log-on details you can register at Patient Access. Once that is done, you are ready to go. The icons to use can be found on our Home Page.

Through Patient Access you will be able to:

-  book / cancel appointment

-  order repeat prescriptions

-  view your medical records

-  change your contact details

Repeat prescriptions

You can use Patient Access to request a repeat prescription – as long as the review date has not expired.

Prescriptions can be collected two working days after your request.

Tip: If you have a Pharmacy you always use, you can sign up with them for Electronic Prescribing. This means that your prescription will be sent electronically to the Pharmacy so you won’t have to come to the practice to collect it.

Appointments

Please ensure that you book your appointments appropriately. If you are unsure as to whether you need to see a doctor, contact us by telephone. Maybe a telephone consultation or an appointment with the nurse is more appropriate.

Unfortunately the system is not flexible enough to allow you to book appointments for family members: you can only book appointments for yourself.

Inappropriate use

We are sure you will find these online services useful. However, we will cancel your access if you abuse the service. Examples of what we would consider inappropriate use are:

-  Booking appointments and not using them

-  Booking appointments for other family members using your name

-  Consistently booking inappropriate appointments
