Coronavirus (COVID-19)

CORONA Virus - COVID 19

COVID VACCINES UPDATE  6th May 2021 Please don't ring & block the phones.

Staff have been asked to respond briefly to any phone queries by sending a text. We are recalling patients who had AstraZeneca AZ  jabs at the surgery  for their booster. We are now allowed to call over 40y patients for their first AZ jab and this will take place in surgery in June 21.

We are one of the leading GP practice in Sutton/Carshalton for Vaccinations and are very proud of our staff.
We are inviting healthy over 40's  &  those on the Governments Vulnerable list, which GP's have no control over. This invitation is by Text, so make sure your contact details are up to date!
or alternatively to book your vaccination at another location you can now book by visiting www.nhs.uk/covid-vaccination or ringing 119 free. You no longer need a letter.
Vaccinating reduces risk of catching Covid & also passing it on to vulnerable members of your family (even if they have been vaccinated, remember they can still catch Covid, because the vaccine protection is not 100%)

General Advice, please do not Call 111, use the website.  111 will be very busy organising admissions to hospitals for those very sick people.

Avoid Catching it! If you touch anything with snot/mucus on it, then touch your face, you will catch up!!

Wash hands with soap: if your not near a sink, then use disinfectants.  Stay out of the way from people who are coughing, especially in confined spaces (like surgery waiting rooms).  Keep drinking fluids, especially warm ones: Viruses are more likely to be absorbed by cold, dry throats.

AVOID spreading it! You'll be infectious 5 days before you know you have Coronavirus.  If you have to cough/sneeze, then cough into a paper tissue and dispose of responsibly.  Masks only really limit spreading viruses from sneezing & coughing.  Wash your hands frequently in order to reduce spread to others who are unwise enough to be touching their faces!

There is NO cure for Coronavirus & people will NOT be tested unless they are critically ill and need admission.
