COVID-19 PANDEMIC SURGERY ARRANGEMENTS.(For Vaccine information please see NEWS)

We remain in operation.

Initial access to the surgery is via Online Consult (also used for Online Query/ Contact Form ) or the telephone

Inline with current advice, all appointments are now triaged by telephone or video consultation. You will only be asked to attend the surgery when absolutely necessary.

If you require advice please contact the surgery on 0161 720 9441.

The majority of consultations will now be telephone or video consultations.

Please be ready to accept the call from the clinician.

ATTENDING SURGERY - CURRENT PROCEDURE:

A face covering is required prior to any admittance.

The front door is now open, it is a requirement that a face mask or covering is worn if you enter the building, the number of people queuing for reception is limited to three at any one time. As per previous instructions please do not enter if you have any Covid-19 symptoms (this could result in the practice being closed for a deep clean), symptoms are a new continuous cough, sore throat or temperature and any respiratory symptoms.

If the front door is closed.

Please use the intercom at the main door to inform reception staff that you have arrived, the staff will have screening questions for all patients attending and will take your temperature.

The intercom should not be used to discuss any other matters with the receptionist.

If you have an appointment booked in advance, a member of the team will contact you to ensure patients with symptoms are not coming to the practice.

Demand on the telephone lines has significantly increased, therefore please bear with our staff during this busy period.

ORDERING PRESCRIPTIONS - CURRENT PROCEDURE:

As a temporary measure, requests for a prescription can be made over the telephone (we will no longer accept medication requests over the from from 1st July 2021), you can also order prescriptions at any time by using the NHS App or registering for Patient facing Services (On-line Access).,For those collecting prescriptions, please inform reception of a Pharmacy they can forward the prescription too.

To register for this service please contact the surgery please create an account in the first instance and then contact the surgery for full access, proof of ID is required.

We ask that if any of your information changes such as

That you contact the surgery to update your information.

This can be done on-line or when visiting the surgery. This is to ensure that should we need to contact you we have the most up to date details.

TEXT MESSAGING:

We now offer a text messaging service to patients for appointment reminders and services being offered such as Immunisations, at times we may contact you with interactive messages to update your Medical Records.

Training Practice:

The practice has always been being involved in student education.
You may have been in surgery when medical students have been present.

We are happy to announce that we are now an accredited training practice. Following a deanery visit we can now have speciality training doctors. These are fully qualified doctors who are generally a year or two from becoming a GP.

Manchester GP surgeries are there for you at evenings and weekends

The practice, working in collaboration with Manchester Extended Access, is pleased to offer access to GP, nurse and HCA appointments during the evenings and at the weekends.

To book appointments simply ask the receptionist who will arrange an appointment at a time and location that suits you best. This may not be at your usual practice, but the GP or Health Care Professional who sees you will have access to your medical record and can issue prescriptions if required and deal with other matters appropriately should the need arise.
