Surgery closed for Training

All GP Practices in East Lancashire are closed on one afternoon almost every month from 1pm-6:30 pm for Protected Learning Time.  This enables practices to provide dedicated training to their staff and to discuss and plan ways that will allow them to improve services, meet demand and support the wellbeing of staff.

We will be closed on:  Tuesday 3rd February 2026 from 1pm - 6:30 pm

APPOINTMENT SYSTEM

From October 2025 we have moved on to a new system which can be accessed by clicking on the link below:

https://request.mygp.com/fzx

This will allow you to log directly into the Practice via the NHS app or MyGP.  It is a form based online consultation and triage platform that collects your medical or administrative request and sends it through to the Practice to triage and decide on the right care for you.

The system is available to use from any device connected to the internet.  There is no need to wait in a phone queue or visit the practice.  It should take approximately 3 - 4 minutes to complete a request form.

It will also allow you to contact the surgery seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day.  The surgery will action your requests during our regular opening hours.

The NHS APP

Owned and run by the NHS, the NHS App is the simple and secure way to access a range of NHS services on your smartphone or tablet.

You must be aged 13 or over and be registered with a GP surgery in England.

The App will allow you to:

  •  Order repeat prescriptions
  •  Check your symptoms
  •  View information such as your allergies and your current and past medicines
