Spring Covid-19 vaccination booking opens

The NHS national booking system is now open for bookings for the Covid-19 spring vaccination programme. The eligible cohorts are:

  • adults aged 75 years and over
  • residents in a care home for older adults
  • individuals aged 6 months and over who have a weakened immune system.

Booking opened on Monday, 15 April, with appointments available from Monday, 22 April. The programme will end on 30 June. 

The NHS is sending texts, emails, NHS App messages or letters to those who are eligible, but patients do not have to wait for the invite to book. 

Anyone eligible can book a vaccine appointment on nhs.uk/get-vaccine or by calling 119 for free (translation services available).Parents or carers can book a vaccination for children under 16 on their behalf. Eligible people aged 16 and over can also use the NHS App to book an appointment. Alternatively, they can find a walk-in clinic or the health and wellbeing bus locations on our map.
