Telephone Pressures
When you hear the recorded message on the surgery telephone system, this means you are now connected and added to the queuing system. Please stay on the line as your call will be answered as quickly as possible. If you hear the engaged tone all lines are busy, please try again later. The busiest times for calls is each morning from 8.30 am till 9.30 am and from 2 pm till 3 pm.
In the month of September the Reception team
answered 11,297 incoming calls
and made 1,597 outgoing calls.
. Flu and Covid Boosters
We are only delivering this service to patients who are aged over 80 years old (at 31 March 2022) or who are registered housebound. All other groups of patients will be contacted by the Mass Vaccination Service and will be done out with the surgery.
Patients aged 70-79 and those classed as Clinically Extremely Vulnerable are currently being invited to appointments at local Mass Vaccination Centres to receive their COVID Boosters and Flu Vaccines. This will continue until approximately mid-November. If you are in this age group, and have not received an invitation to attend a Mass Vaccination Centre by 16th November 2021, please contact the local appointing team on 01563 826540.
For all other patient groups (out with the 70-79 and clinically extremely vulnerable groups), who are eligible for Flu Vaccine and/or COVID Booster, you will also be invited to attend a Mass Vaccination Centre throughout November and December. Patients will be invited for vaccination in priority order by age and high risk category and will receive an appointment letter in a blue envelope at the appropriate time.
