Asthma Clinic

An asthma review is an appointment with a doctor or nurse to talk about your asthma and discuss ways in which you can control your symptoms better. Asthma is caused by inflammation of the airways. Our practice nurses have specialist asthma qualifications. They run clinics in order that asthma may be assessed, advice offered, queries answered and the correct treatment ensured. Patients on asthma medication should be seen at least once a year in the asthma clinic with the asthma medications. Appointment needs to be booked through the receptionist.

Child health and development - Baby Clinic 6-8 weeks

Your baby will be invited for a thorough physical examination. This is usually done by your GP. Your baby's eyes, heart, hips and – for boys – testicles will be checked. They'll also have their weight, length and head circumference measured. All this examination will be recorded in your baby's red books. Your GP or health visitor will discuss your baby's vaccinations with you. These are offered at 8 weeks, 12 weeks, 16 weeks and one year old, and before your child starts school.

Immunisation prepares the body to fight serious infections that might happen in the future.
Immunisation is very successful and it is now rare for children to get serious diseases like diphtheria, polio or tetanus. Measles and whooping cough are also less common. So its very important for your child to be immunise at the right time.
Child immunisation clinic is run by the practice nurse. Please book an appointment through receptionist
