Treatment Room
This is staffed by three nursing sisters between 8.30 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. and 2.00 p.m. – 6.00 p.m. Monday to Friday for such things as minor injuries, dressing, ECGs, routine and travel immunisations. We operate an appointment system. Please ring reception for details
Phlebotomy
Blood samples can be taken each weekday. Please ring reception for details.
Maternity
When you're pregnant or a chance you may become pregnant it is important to take a folic acid supplement up to 12 weeks of pregnancy. This is to reduce the risk of problems in babies development. Folic acid is available from pharmacies or supermarkets. Please refer yourself when you are pregnant to the midwives service by ringing Tel: 01482 605304
Each doctor provides full maternity services during normal surgery and uses the Women and Children’s Hospital. District midwives hold weekly antenatal clinics, parentcraft and relaxation classes.
Family Planning
Each doctor offers family planning services during normal surgery times.
Cervical Smears
Sessions for cervical smears are held every Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon. For appointments telephone 01482 862733.
Wart and Verruca Clinic
We no longer provide a service for the treatment of verrucae. This is a condition that can be treated by over the counter medication.
Diabetic Clinic
Attendance is through invitation, although patients can ring 01482 862733 to make an appointment with Nurse Williams or Nurse Pollard. Drs Cavill and Piper oversee the diabetic patients.
Asthma COPD Clinic
We hold a respiratory disease clinic every Monday afternoon with Nurse Brice. Patients are invited to attend or can make their own appointment with the surgery by telephoning 01482 862733.
Child Health Surveillance
Attendance is by invitation from East Yorkshire Health Authority. The health visitors are available at the surgery on Tuesday morning.

Minor Surgery
Minor surgery is performed at the surgery. Arrangements must be made with the doctor concerned.
Flu Vaccination
In accordance with the Department of Health guidelines, we recommend an influenza vaccination for patients with chronic heart, lung or kidney disease, diabetics and residents of nursing and rest homes, as well as all patients over 65 years. Flu vaccinations are available from October. We also recommend the pneumonia vaccination for patients aged 65 years and over.
