Dr Colin Pugh

BM (Southampton 1990) MRCGP. 

Dr Colin Pugh graduated from Southampton University Medical School and has an interest in diseases of joint and muscle. He works in the hospital rheumatology clinic once a week and is expert in joint injections and performs caudal epidurals for sciatica and certain types of back pain.

He is married with three children who like him are very active dinghy sailors.  Colin is also a keen windsurfer when the childrens' sailing allows.  Sadly he is now finding it harder to hold his stomach in when wearing a wetsuit!

Dr Sue Garland


Dr Sue Garland trained at St George's Hospital, extensively in hospital adult medicine and is a member of the Royal College of Physicians as well as the Royal College of General Practitioners, She also has an interest in Family Planning and Women's Health, and trains our F2 doctors and medical students.  Dr Garland attended local schools and is married with two children.

Dr Alex Johnstone


Dr Alex Johnstone joined the practice at the start of 2009 to replace the retiring Dr Lovejoy. He trained at Guy's and St Thomas's Hospitals Medical School and Graduated in 1994. His professional interests are Internal Medicine, Child Health, and Medical Education. He has diplomas in child health and gynaecology. He lives in Parkstone and is married with 2 daughters, and likes cooking, running and skiing. He is a qualified GP trainer and will frequently be mentoring a trainee GP (registrar) in the practice.

Dr David Broadley

BM (Soton 2004) MRCGP DRCOG

Dr David Broadley trained exclusively in the Poole and Bournemouth region after qualifying as a doctor from Southampton University in 2004. His main medical interests are Elderly Medicine and Child health. He is married with 3 children.   His main hobbies are music, sports and especially running, hoping to improve on his marathon time of 2 hours and 31 minutes.

Dr Emma Evans


Dr Evans is a GP partner and works 6 sessions over 4 days. Dr Evans is currently on maternity leave.  Her interests include women's health (including Family Planning) and dermatology, in which she has a Diploma. She also works part-time as a dermatology specialist at Poole Hospital. We have a maternity locum, Dr Louise Goddard covering for Dr Evans.
