Morningside Medical Practice are now operating a restricted list. If you require to register, this can be done on a Monday from 12noon. Unfortunately we are only able register 10 patients per week until further notice. The decision was taken so this would allow the doctors to continue providing high quality and safe care to our patients. Thank you for your continued support and patience.
Flu clinic 2018
Its that time again! We have two Saturday flu clinics on the 6th and 13th October. Please call our receptionist who will book an appointment for you. Please click here to see if you are eligible for vaccinations on the NHS.
New appointment option
We always try to improve patient access options. We understand that there are some issues which are not "urgent" that need to be sorted that day, but also need to be sorted within the two weeks routine appointment. We have therefore introduced a soon '3 day release' appointment. Click here for more information.
Dr Maria Flinn joined as a partner!
We wish to welcome Dr Maria Flinn as a partner at Morningside Medical Practice. Dr Flinn started working with us as a locum since August 2017, and she has had tremendous positive feedback from both patients and the Morningside Medical team. We are delighted that she has accepted a partnership here.
We are not relocating!
Despite what some articles or "news" articles have reported, we want to reassure our patients that Morningside Medical Practice is NOT moving its premises, or merging with other practices despite.
UPDATE August 2018
There is currently a national shortage of a few vaccines despite our best efforts to get a hold of them including:
- This is offered to all patients as a one-off vaccine over the age of 65, and some patients will receive it depending on their medical history.
- We have prioritised which patients registered at Morningside Medical Practice are the highest risk of this disease, and we apologise that we can't offer this vaccination to everyone. However, we are trying to source this, and will obtain it as soon as possible - we will update our website once we have further stock.
- Hepatitis A
- You may or may not require this vaccine for your travel. If you do need Hepatitis A vaccine for travel, and the practice have no stock at that time, the Practice Nurse will advise you accordingly of your options at the initial telephone consultation.
Please be assured that we want to provide a comprehensive service to patients, and we apologise for this inconvenience, but these are due to circumstances out with our control.
Please note that we close for staff training every Tuesday between 13:00 to 14:00. We will also be closed from 13:00 on the following dates to allow practice team development. Please phone NHS24 on 111 or 999 for any medical emergencies.
- Wed 5 September 2018
- Wed 3 October 2018
- Wed 7 November 2018
