Hepatitis A Vaccine Shortage
There is currently a national shortage of Hepatitis A vaccine, which is sometimes given for travel purposes, and supplies are being limited to all Practices.
You may or may not require this vaccine for your travel. If you do need Hepatitis A vaccine for travel, and the practice have no stock at that time, the Practice Nurse will advise you accordingly of your options at the initial telephone consultation .
Please be assured that we want to provide a comprehensive service to patients, and we apologise for this inconvenience, but these are due to circumstances out with our control.
Internal Refurbishment February-March 2017
***MARCH UPDATE: Many thanks for all our patients understanding with our ongoing works. The main door will be reopened for access at the start of March. The new waiting room has almost been finished, and we are awaiting new flooring and a new reception area. We aim to have all work completed by the middle-end of March. ***
Morningside Medical Practice will be undergoing an internal refurbishment with the aim to install a new consultation room, and to upgrade our waiting and reception area.
These changes will be taking place in February 2017 and we will aim to minimise disruption by asking our contractors to work over the weekend.
However, there are some works which will be done during surgery opening hours. Please be reassured that we will remain open as normal, but there may be some unavoidable noise.
The main entrance will be closed for a period of time (hopefully no longer than a couple of weeks), and therefore we will keep the side entrance door open. During this time, if you have difficulties entering or exiting the side entrance, please let us know by speaking to our receptionists or ringing the door bell, and we will ask our contractors to stop working on the main entrance.
We apologise for any inconvenience, but our aim is to improve your Medical Practice. Please see below to what we are aiming for:
Please be aware of an update to our ‘practice learning times’ PLT dates.
We would be closed from 13:00 on the following dates to allow practice team development.
Please phone NHS24 on 111 or 999 for any medical emergencies.
