Community Midwives

Pregnant women have a wide choice between five hospitals and midwife led delivery centres, where they may deliver or alternatively may choose to deliver at home. We have the support of two midwives, Sr. Karen Monaghan and Sr. Judy Aitken. They run ante-natal classes in the practice together with the doctors. They also organise parent craft classes and will visit mum’s at home after delivery offering advice and monitoring progress.

Community Nurses

District Nurses are community based nursing teams that supervise post-operative care, change of dressings and help to maintain independence in the community. They are based at Petersfield Community Hospital - 02382 310500

Health Visitors

The Health Visitors are available in the Chase Hospital (01420 488801) and offer advice and support for children’s health and development. They run regular clinic in the Chase hospital.
