Pharmacists

Our pharmacists advise the GPs and nurses on prescribing and medicine issues and offer a range of services to patients including medication reviews and help with prescriptions and dosette boxes.

Community Midwives

We have practice attached Community Midwifes who come to the practice to see our patients. 

Our Community Midwifes are based at the Maternity Hospital (Telephone 01224 552071). T

Community Nurses

We work very closely with our local district nursing teams who carry out nursing care for housebound patients. These visits are normally authorised by the GPs. Once you have been allocated to a District Nursing Team, you will be give contact information for them. 

Health Visitors

We also work closely with our health visiting team.

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.  They also have an important role in Child Protection.

Once you have been allocated to a Health Visitor, you will be given their contact details

Attached Staff

Substance Misuse Service

Our practice-attached community substance misuse service nurse is based at Cornhill Hospital and provides care for patients with substance misuse problems. 

Psychological Therapists

Provide care for patients referred to them by the clinicians at the practice

Link Practitioners

Link Practitioners contact the patient to discuss what matters to them, provide information on supports available and help to access them where needed. Anyone in the practice can refer a patient to the Link Practitioner for a range of help - benefits/finance/housing/isolation etc

Listening Service

Operates out of the practice each Wednesday - appointments can be booked by contacting the practice
