Community Nurses

The district nurse team cares for patients who need nursing at home and are based at Farndon Green health Centre in Wollaton.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

Dr Simon Royal (m)

In addition to being a GP, I am the Research Lead for Cripps Health Centre. I work for the National Institute for Health Research as a Primary Care Clinical Specialty Lead and I am an Honorary Assistant Professor, at the School of Medicine in the Division of Primary Care at the University of Nottingham. I am the NIHR CRN East Midlands Primary Care Clinical Speciality Lead and the Chair for Research and Evidence Strategy Group NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire CCG.

Nurse Jenny Salmon (f)

I am an experienced Research Nurse previously working for the Research Support Team for CRN East Midlands. I have been working at Cripps since the beginning of the Pandemic, was brought in to help with the delivery of COV002. I have been a member of the Cripps Research Team since June 2021 as a job share with Melissa.

Nurse Melissa Shillito (f)

I am employed by Cripps Health Centre and have a split role of Practice Nurse and Research Nurse within the surgery. I have been at Cripps for 6 years and have a background of Emergency Nursing within the A&E department at QMC.

Miss Stephanie Agulanna (f)

I am employed by Cripps Health Centre as a Research administrator. My background is in Microbiology and public health. I enjoy the variety of Research studies here at Cripps.
