Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

The Phlebotomist runs the venepuncture clinics. You need to see and discuss with the GP prior to any request for elective blood tests.

The Practice Manager is responsible for ensuring the Practice complies with all aspects of health and safety requirements, implementing policies and procedures; liaising with outside agencies to keep abreast of any development within the NHS that might affect the Practice or the doctors.

Lead Receptionist

The lead receptionist is responsible for the smooth running of the reception; dealing with enquiries, complaints and suggestions from the patients in the practice managers absence; the organisation of covering holidays, sickness, compassionate leave; the initial continuation training of reception staff.

Receptionist/Administration

Our receptionists are your first point of contact.  They have the difficult job of trying to keep both doctors and patients happy and play an important role in the day to day running of the Practice.  All staff are trained to deal with most every day queries and are encouraged to develop their skills to keep in line with ever increasing changes to the NHS.  If you are asked some apparently irritating questions, it is only because of our policy to ascertain the urgency of particular problems and requests.
