Reception

The receptionists are the people who first meet you when you come to the surgery. Their aim is to make you feel welcome and to help you to see the doctor, nurse, healthcare professional or deal with your query or problem as quickly as possible. They are often under considerable pressure at busy times, please try to be patient.

It is important to understand that the appointment system and other policies have been introduced by the doctors to make it possible to give patients a better service. They have to be applied by the reception staff who do not have the discretion to make exceptions.
