Already a fully qualified and experienced doctor, Dr Haydar is in her final year of GP training, working at Westdale Surgery. Dr Khaliq is her trainer

An advanced nurse practitioner is a very highly trained prescribing nurse who is able to see and treat a wide range of medical problems. They work alongside our doctors and can refer you to hospital or for further tests as needed.

Alongside the doctors they run our walk in clinic each morning between 8am and 10.30am. They also see patients for annual reviews, family planning advice and undertake home visits.

The HCAs support the Nurse Practitioners and Practice Nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement, dressings, health checks, smoking cessation clinics and new patient checks. They also act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Paula is responsible for the day to day management and development of the practice, ensuring that patient services are provided safely, efficiently and effectively to the highest possible standards. She deals with complaints on behalf of the practice and is happy to receive comments and suggestions concerning our services from patients at any time.

The reception staff will assist you in making urgent and routine appointments to see your doctor, arrange repeat prescriptions.

The receptionists are trained to take essential details sympathetically and are able to answer many of your queries in complete confidence.

They will act as a link between you and other members of the team. If you are in doubt about anything please ask a receptionist for help. Our staff always aim to be courteous and to facilitate the smooth running of the practice

Tracy deals with Doctors' correspondence, making referrals and hospital appointments, handling patients queries, and liaising with other healthcare teams. 

Community Midwives, District Nurses and Health Visitors provide care for patients at home and are often in close communication with the doctors.
