What is Patient Access?

With Patient Access, you can now view, book and cancel appointments from home, work or on the move – wherever you can connect to the internet. What’s more, because Patient Access is a 24 hour online service – you can do this in your own time, day or night.

Patient Access is not just for booking GP appointments; you can also order repeat prescriptions.

How do I register for Patient Access?

1)  You can visit the surgery and let one of our receptionists know that you would like to use this service.  Please bring with you photo ID and one of our receptionists will then hand you a letter giving you all the information you need to register on line. Once you have this letter then please click the link below and follow the on screen instructions to register.


2)  You can register on line. Please click the link below and follow the on screen instructions to register.  Please note that this will allow you to book ONE appointment online and you won't be able to request your repeat prescription, until your registration is processed. This normally happens within 5 working days.

Is my information secure?

All information that is sent to your surgery via Patient Access is secure. Your personal details are encrypted and protected using the highest standard internet security, so it cannot be intercepted. Only you and your GP surgery are able to see this information.

How do I order my repeat prescription online?

SIGN into Patient Access and then click on “Make a request”. You will now see a list of all your medication that is on repeat and can be ordered via the internet.              

Tick the selected items and then click on “submit”

Please remember to allow 48 hours (excluding weekends) before collecting your prescription.

Online Access to Medical Records

From 1 April 2019 the Government intends to allow patients to view and download a summary of their medical records on line.

This will include Medications, Allergy’s and adverse conditions.

You will need to sign up to our online Access facility. If you already have online access for prescriptions and appointments, you need do nothing more.
