Repeat Prescriptions

Prescriptions are normally for patients with long-term conditions who receive regular treatment. Your doctor will decide who can have a repeat prescription.

Prescriptions can be ordered by registering for Patient Access, through your nominated pharmacy, in person, by a family member, or request at the surgery by filling in the slip of repeat medication; this is attached to your prescription.

You can also order by email:

bcwbccg.ashfieldrdscripts@nhs.net

Alternatively you can order online via the link at the top of this page. To register for this you can contact the surgery.  You will need to bring in ID to register for this.  You can order prescriptions, make appointments online and view your medical record.

We cannot take telephone requests for repeat prescriptions because of the possibility of error. However we do accept telephone requests for prescriptions after 3.00 pm if the patient is housebound or elderly and cannot attend the surgery to order.

It is the responsibility of the patient to arrange collection and delivery of the prescription.

Please allow at least 48 working hours before your prescription is ready for collection.

Medication Reviews

Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse at least once a year to review these regular medications and notification should appear on your repeat slip.

Please ensure that you book an appropriate appointment to avoid unnecessary delays to further prescriptions.
